It has been an emotional couple of weeks for us, and I think Brandon and I both have been feeling a bit drained. Brandon's Grandma passed away on the 6th, and although we all know that she is in such a better place and no longer suffering, it is still so hard to let go of someone you love so much. Those of you who knew her know what a wonderful, strong, Christian woman she was and she will be terribly missed by us all. Through this hard time, however, I have seen firsthand what a comforting, merciful, and truly awesome God we have. And I am so thankful to have his arms to run to when life seems to be getting the best of me. Please continue to keep all of her family in your prayers, as this has been a tough time for everyone. And Thank You to everyone for your kind words, cards, and calls...And to Bro. Mike and Ms. Donna for the gorgeous plant. It will be such a beautiful reminder of a beautiful woman!

With all that being said, let's lighten things up a little. Here's a few pictures from the past couple of weeks. Pics of the sweet ones always brightens my day!

Painting fun

Take 2 for fishing...No, this is not the pole that Hannah and Austin got him for his birthday. That one is still at the bottom of the lake!LOL! We bought him a replacement this weekend, so hopefully we'll have better luck with this one. He seems to be getting the hang of it as far as reeling goes, but he still has a thing with putting the tip of the rod in the water. Anyone want to take bets on how long this one will last?LOL!

Rhett woke up from his nap Saturday afternoon with a pretty high fever. It lasted throughout the night and Sunday, but today he has been fever free. He's had a little bit of a runny nose, but other than that, you would have never even known he was sick. He's always been like that, so you have to keep a good check on his fever. Daddy left us in the bed Sunday to go to church, so we just had a little pajama party complete with a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse movie!

  1. Cute pictures. You were brave to tackle the painting with three little ones and no backup! Thanks again for everything you did that week. Looks like Rhett is in the makings of a real fisherman, Austin likes to put the end of his pole in the water also, not sure why. Have a good week, hope Rhett feels better. Love ya'll - Kimberly
