What's Been Going On With Us...

We have been really busy it seems lately, and a bit under the weather. So, needless to say this is the first chance I have had to come up with an update. Aunt Kimberly, Hannah, and Austin came and stayed with us and Rhett always loves it when they come! When you get those 3 together, it is like a circus around here!haha We all love it though, and we always hate it when they have to go home. I especially miss Hannah (aka Little Mama)! She keeps an eagle eye on Rhett when she's here, and those of you who know Rhett well know what a task that is! So Kimberly, can you send her back down for a while???haha

Happy Birthday Aunt Kimberly!

Brandon has introduced Rhett to mud boggin' and now he just can't get enough!haha The Bronco is now one of his favorite places to be. He'll just sit in it forever and pretend he's driving! So, I usually just pull up a chair in the backyard and watch...Works for me! I know, you might be a redneck again...That seems to be quite the trend around here!haha

I found a neat Bible story book that came with a DVD that has a short video to go with every story. So, we started a new "Bible Time" this week and Rhett has LOVED it! This week, we are covering Creation and it has been alot of fun. We read our story, watch our movie, sing a song, do a craft, and when we are done I ask Rhett questions about what we learned and for every one he gets right he gets a M&M...So you know he's ALL over that!haha It has really been amazing watching his little mind soaking up all that he's learning. Here he is working on his Creation crafts:

Crazy boy with crazy hair!

For some reason, he loves these measuring spoons of mine. I think it has to do with them resembling a set of keys....And we all know how obsessed he is with keys! haha When I need them, I have to search the house high and low for them...Most recently they were found hanging on one of the pegs on his tool bench!haha I have tried hiding them from him, but he will tear the kitchen up looking for them. So, is it really worth the fight? Not to me! I think I'll just pick up another set the next time I'm in town.

On Thursday, my MOPS group had a playdate at the Fire Station. Now, let me just say that I learned a great lesson from this. As I was putting Rhett to bed on Wed. night, I told him that we were going to go to the Fire Station and see the firetrucks when he woke up in the morning. He was up 3 different times in the middle of the night talking about going to see the firetrucks! Note to self, wait until the day of if you want a decent night's sleep!haha Anyways, as you can imagine, he was just beside himself once we got there!

Driving the fire truck...And no, he didn't care anything about giving any other kid a turn!haha

Posing with Fireman Frank

In the back of the fire truck with one of his buddies

A quick picture with Mommy...That is the extent that he let me hold him while we were there!

He was the only one brave enough to climb the ladder...Does that surprise me? Not that little monkey!

Kissing the fire truck bye-bye....How sweet is that?!

On the note of firefighters, a local Stockton fireman was killed in the line of duty this week. He was only 32 years old, and leaves behind a wife and two young children. My heart has been so heavy for this family this week, so if you will, keep the North family in your prayers.

More Things I Want To Remember...

1) When one of Rhett's toys are broke, he says "Fix It" and if you tell him you can't he says "Batteries"...Do they listen or what?!

2) When he wants you to help him do something, he says "Help You"

3) When something isn't going his way he says one of the following:
"Good Grief!", "Good Gracious", "Oh My Goodness", "Awww Man" or "Oh Gosh" (Can you tell his Mama is with him all day?! haha)

4) When he gets upset about something he says "Mad" and makes a ugly face. If you ask him why he's mad, he just says "Yeah" And if you try to talk to him about it very much, he'll say "Don't like her/him" meaning you!LOL! Which usually lands him a trip to time out!

5) When he sees something that he can't touch (like my flatiron or Brandon's knife) he says "Bite You"...Wonder where he got that idea?LOL!

6) He LOVES for you to sniff him like a coondog, and after you do it he says "Coondog, again" Only our son....Haha!

7) When he hears you potty, he says "Good Job"...Now, if he'd just potty himself!

8) He is just the most loving child! He has a really sweet nature most of the time and he loves to give hugs and kisses!

9) When we start heading towards town he says one of 4 things: "Memaw's House", "Home Depot", "Wal-Mart" or "School" (Can you tell where we go the most?!)

10) If you ask him where he wants to eat in town, he says "ChicALay" and "Zasbys"...I guess we eat alot of chicken!haha

11) We have a routine of going to dump just about every day...I know that sounds weird, huh? But it started when Rhett was really little as a way to get us out of the house when Daddy got home...We'd just take the trash off and ride dirt roads! (It has always sounded pretty normal to me, but after typing all that out, it sounds pretty funny to me now, too!) Anyways, needless to say, Rhett just LOVES to go to the dump . Now, however, he has a whole new reason. There's a new lady (Ms. Angela) that is working there and she is SMITTEN with Rhett. As a matter of fact, she has a treat for him every time we go! He tells her "Thank You" and gives her a hug and we're on our way...Until next time! LOL! Rhett wanted to color her a picture today, so we did just that! You might be a redneck.....Haha!

12) He knows his teachers' and friends' names at school and church and talks about them alot.

13) He's learning about the Bible and I couldn't be more proud. Ms. Donna (Bro. Mike's wife) told him the story about Jesus walking on the water last Sunday and if you ask him what Jesus did he says "Walk on Water"and then he'll say "On top of it".

14) He's also familiar with Adam and Eve getting kicked out of the Garden of Eden and when you ask him why he says "Broke the Rules" and "Got in Trouble" and the other day he said "God spanked them", and although we didn't teach him that I can tell he's really starting to get it.

15) He knows that God made him, Mommy, Daddy, Deacon....And everyone and everything else!

16) He says he loves Jesus and that Jesus is nice...He just has no idea how "nice" yet! Do you know how incredibly humbling it is to talk to your 2 year old about the Bible? There's just nothing like it!

Another Week Gone By

Rhett loves building towers with his blocks, but his favorite part is knocking them down!

Another super cute school craft! Inside the heart it says "Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew my spirit." Psalm 51:10 Can I get a Amen?

Showing off his new Mickey Mouse big boy underwear...Now if we can just get him to USE the POTTY!LOL! That part's just not going so well yet!

At least he's trying...Although he has to be bribed with a picture book and M&Ms! Whatever works, huh?

Down by the river

Daddy and his boys

Happy Valentine's Day, Sweet Boy

Checkin' out Mr. Potato Head (I think it's so neat to watch Rhett play with things that I liked to play with as a child)

In trouble...In "Time Out"! Is that pitiful or what?LOL! Notice the toe poked through his jammies! They are his favorite pair, for that very reason!LOL!
"Chocolate Mouth" proud of his new Batman shades

Walking in the woods....Show Mama that deer track, Buddy! (He gets it honest!)
Never miss a chance to stomp in a good mud puddle! He stomped in EVERY single one along the way!

Our Valentine's was a simple, but sweet one! On Friday, Memaw surprised us with offering to babysit so that we could go out on a date. We couldn't pass that up, so we went out to eat, browsed around a bookstore, and picked up a huntin' club gate on the way home...So typical for us!LOL! Saturday, after we got Rhett to bed, we enjoyed a steak dinner, a bubble bath, a good movie, and Brandon even gave me a massage! Does it get any better than that?

Our Week In Pictures

Working on a project! I love the look of concentration on his face.

Haircut Time (He really likes his barber, Mr. Jimmy)

All Done, Handsome Boy! You see that sucker, that's why he likes Mr. Jimmy so much!LOL!

One little monkey jumping on the bed!

Happy to be outside on such a pretty day! After all the yucky weather we've had lately, we were READY to get outside!

Looks like Rhett would rather push a Ford than drive a Chevy...His Daddy is SO proud!LOL!

Helping Daddy wash the camper...We're hoping to take a trip soon!

Ready for Church (Minus the hat!)

Ready to ride! Alot of us neighbors got together and rode 4-wheelers this weekend...We all had a lot of fun and laughs! And you know Rhett, he was in hog heaven! LOL!

Happy Birthday To You....

Today is my niece Lacey Kay's very 1st birthday! Happy Birthday, Sweet Girl! Sorry we can't be there to help you celebrate, but you've been in my thoughts all day today! This is such a special day, and you really don't even realize it! I bet your Mommy just CANNOT believe a whole year has already gone by! It's just CRAZY how fast you little ones grow up!

Can't wait to see pictures of you diving into that 1st birthday cake....Trust me sweet girl, you're gonna LOVE it! LOL!

Happy, Happy 1st Birthday! We LOVE you SOOOO much!

P.S. Am I the only one that thinks Rhett looks like he's being booked at the county jail? And none too happy about it either! LOL!

Random Pics From Last Week

Watching some Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, with a cup of cheese and some juice :)
Drinking the milk from his cereal by his "self"

Talking to Daddy on the phone...He looks like he's getting in trouble, doesn't he? LOL!

This weekend, we had a "yard work" day...YUCK, in my opinion but I know that it has to be done. So, I raked my arms off, Brandon (and Rhett sometimes) swept the yard, and Rhett just had a blast being outside!

Big Helper

Taking a break to supervise for a while...We've gotta get you trained on that rake, boy! LOL!
